Detection limits: Alerts depend on supported wireless signatures, signal conditions and installed firmware. The device cannot detect every target; no alert does not prove that an area is free of surveillance or tracking equipment.
Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi monitoring run in scheduled phases. Brief transmissions can be missed while another phase is active.

Important Detection Limitations
Eye Spy is a wireless surveillance-awareness device, not a universal surveillance detector.
It identifies supported devices when they expose wireless characteristics recognized by the installed firmware and Eye Spy observes those characteristics during the appropriate scanning phase.
It does not identify surveillance equipment solely because a camera, microphone, tracker, or other sensor exists nearby.
A supported device might not be detected if:
• Its relevant wireless radio is disabled
• Its identifier or wireless behavior has changed
• Its signal is outside usable range
• Its signal falls below the configured RSSI threshold
• Its relevant transmission occurs outside the applicable Eye Spy scanning window
• The manufacturer changes its firmware or hardware
• The device uses an unsupported frequency or protocol
• The device does not expose a currently supported signature
• Another Eye Spy detection phase occupies the shared radio when a short transmission occurs
Because Eye Spy divides its resources across a much larger collection of detection methods, false negatives are more likely than with a purpose-built detector focused on a narrower set of signatures.
No detection should be interpreted as proof that an environment contains no surveillance or tracking equipment.
Broad Surveillance Awareness. One Device. No Subscription.
Eye Spy Display Pro combines Bluetooth LE monitoring, Wi-Fi scanning, promiscuous Wi-Fi monitoring, confidence-based detection, persistent-device awareness, a touchscreen, rechargeable battery, speaker, vibration hardware, expandable storage, additional memory, and open-source firmware.
It provides a self-contained platform for surveillance awareness, tracker awareness, ALPR research, drone Remote ID monitoring, privacy research, cybersecurity education, vehicle use, and wireless experimentation.
