ESP32 CYD 2.8-inch Touchscreen | Choose Bruce or HaleHound Firmware

Choose your installed firmware using the Firmware selector. Your purchase includes one device with one selected firmware configuration installed, not multiple devices or all firmwares running together.

Hardware, power and included items

ESP32 CYD 2432S028 with 2.8-inch touchscreen and acrylic case. USB powered. HaleHound includes a USB data/power cable and plastic storage box. Bruce case color and cable availability follow the existing Bruce kit; contact us if a particular case color or included cable is essential. No microSD card or external radio modules are included.

What each firmware does

Bruce

For onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning, device exploration and authorized wireless research with the Bruce interface. Features that require Sub-GHz, NFC, GNSS or external infrared hardware need compatible additional modules. Those modules are not supplied, and not every firmware menu operates using the base device alone.

HaleHound

For visual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signal monitoring and RSSI exploration on the CYD touchscreen. External CC1101, nRF24, PN532 or GPS functions require additional compatible hardware and configuration; those modules are not included.

Setup and limitations

Follow the documentation for your selected firmware and exact board. Wi-Fi/Bluetooth awareness tools report supported signatures and may produce false positives or miss devices. No alert does not establish that an area is free of surveillance. Home automation options need the separate host or controller described above. Reflashing replaces the installed firmware and may erase settings.
