The FlockYou Audio Flock Camera Detector is a compact, privacy-focused wireless awareness tool preloaded with FlockYou-style WiFi detection firmware.

This upgraded audio-alert model is designed to provide simple audible feedback when suspected Flock Safety camera WiFi signatures are observed nearby. It is configured in normal Flock OUI detection mode, meaning it is designed to alert only when it sees WiFi frames matching known Flock camera OUI signatures, rather than alerting for every nearby phone, router, hotspot, or unrelated WiFi device.

This device is intended for researchers, privacy advocates, journalists, hobbyists, and people who want better awareness of nearby ALPR and surveillance infrastructure. It passively monitors nearby 2.4 GHz WiFi activity for known Flock-related indicators and provides simple local alerts when a suspected device is detected.

This is a passive awareness and research tool only. It does not jam, disable, bypass, interfere with, authenticate to, or connect to Flock Safety cameras or any other networked device.

Behavior Summary

• Suspected Flock device still in range: Plays a quiet heartbeat beep every 10 seconds
• Advanced serial output: JSON-style detection events over USB serial at 115200 baud where supported

How to Use

Plug the detector into a USB-C power source such as a wall adapter, power bank, laptop, or vehicle USB adapter. Once powered on, the device begins passively monitoring nearby 2.4 GHz WiFi activity.

When a suspected Flock camera signature is detected, the device will play an audible chirp alert. If the same suspected device remains nearby, the detector will continue producing periodic quiet heartbeat beeps.

For best results:

• Place the device where it has a clear view of nearby wireless signals
• Avoid placing it inside metal enclosures, glove boxes, or heavily shielded areas
• Use it while walking, driving, or surveying areas where ALPR or surveillance camera presence is being researched
• Treat detections as indicators, not absolute proof
• Confirm findings with additional research, visual observation, public records, or mapping tools where appropriate

Detection range and reliability can vary based on distance, antenna orientation, building materials, vehicle placement, local WiFi congestion, and how nearby camera hardware is configured.

Advanced Use / Serial Output

Where supported by the installed firmware and public FlockYou tooling, the detector can output detection events over USB serial at 115200 baud.

Advanced users may use this output for local logging, dashboard display, GPS-assisted wardriving, or other research workflows.
